He also extended his appreciation to recipients of the 2025 Child-Friendly City/District Award (KLA).
"Congratulations to all the recipients of this award. Let it serve as a reminder that creating child-friendly cities is a collective responsibility," Pratikno stated during the 2025 KLA Award Ceremony held in Jakarta on Friday evening (August 8).
He noted that regional governments face increasing challenges in realizing child-friendly environments, especially amid the growing influence of digitalization.

"The challenges are mounting, particularly as digitalization alters family interaction patterns. Indonesians now average 7.5 hours of screen time per day, making children increasingly vulnerable to psychological issues and declining cognitive abilities," Pratikno stated.
He also noted that efforts to reduce screen exposure should be accompanied by providing safe cycling lanes, playgrounds, and public spaces—ensuring cities are not only livable but also lovable.
On Friday (August 8), the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection presented the 2025 Child-Friendly City/District Awards to 355 municipalities and regencies. These consisted of 22 in the "Main" category, 69 in "Nindya," 125 in "Madya," and 139 in the "Pratama" category.
Additionally, the Child-Friendly Province Award (Provila) was given to 13 provinces for their significant efforts in mobilizing municipalities and districts within their regions to achieve KLA standards.
The 13 recognized provinces are: Bali, Banten, D.I. Yogyakarta, DKI Jakarta, Gorontalo, Central Java, East Java, South Kalimantan, Bangka Belitung Islands, Riau Islands, Lampung, Riau, and West Sumatra.
