Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto visited Singapore on Saturday to attend the country's 2025 National Day Parade.

President Prabowo and his entourage departed from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, for Paya Lebar Air Base (PLAB), Singapore, at around 13:10 WIB.

Several officials, including Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Commander of the Jakarta Military Command, Major General Deddy Suryadi, Deputy Chief of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Brigadier General Djati Wiyoto, Commander of the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Air Marshal Erwin Sugiandi, and Commander of the 051 Military Command, Brigadier General Nugroho Imam Santoso, were present to see him off.

Prabowo’s attendance signified Indonesia’s respect and support for Singapore’s Independence Day celebrations and reflected the close friendship between the two nations.

The 2025 National Day Parade, themed "Majulah Singapura," is scheduled to take place at the Padang in Singapore, a historic ceremonial field in the city's civic district, involving thousands of participants from various elements of society.

This year's theme marks the nation’s 60-year journey, reflecting on its past while looking ahead with courage and unity.

During the visit, Prabowo was accompanied by Foreign Minister Sugiono, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, and Head of the Development Control and Special Investigation Agency Aris Marsudiyanto.
