"The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has sent a cable of congratulations to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, on his country’s Independence Day," the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on its official website on Sunday (August 17).
In his message, King Salman prayed for President Prabowo’s continued health and well-being, while expressing hopes that his government and the Indonesian people would achieve greater prosperity.
Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud also conveyed his congratulations to President Prabowo on the 80th anniversary of Indonesia’s independence.
He likewise prayed for the president’s health and happiness and for the advancement of the Indonesian nation.
This year’s commemoration of Indonesia’s Independence Day carries the theme “United Sovereignty, Prosperous People, Advanced Indonesia.”
President Prabowo Subianto led the official ceremony marking the proclamation of independence at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta.
