The SDI Steering Committee has the mandate to set policy, coordinate, monitor, and address obstacles in implementing the data governance system, he stated in a statement here on Wednesday.
"The SDI must not stop at the policy level. It must be implemented effectively and serve as a strategic instrument for national development," he said.
During the 2025 SDI Steering Council Meeting, Pambudy emphasized the role of SDI as a strategic development tool that must not stop at the policy level but be realized at the implementation level.
Looking ahead, he said his side would ensure that progress in this area can directly support development planning and control, while also strengthening the foundation of the government's digital transformation.

Throughout 2025, the data.go.id portal has hosted 453,865 datasets with participation from 70 ministries/agencies, 31 provinces, and 273 districts/cities. The number of Priority Data has also increased to 3,291, compared to only 693 in 2022.
Bappenas' Deputy for Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation Vivi Yulaswati stressed the urgency of utilizing the National Socio-Economic Single Data (DTSEN) as a breakthrough in social protection digitalization and cross-sector integration.
"The SDI Index has become one of the indicators in the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) for strengthening the availability and utilization of government data," Yulaswati added.
The 2025 SDI Steering Council Meeting has established five strategic work plans, which include updating the Central-Level SDI Forum Working Group, strengthening budgetary support for ministries and agencies in producing Priority Data, and synchronizing SDI implementation between central and regional levels.
Moreover, enhancing data integration through data exchange regulations, support for social protection digitalization, and lastly strengthening data security by involving the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN).
