He said President Prabowo has consistently pushed for stronger economic performance, but warned that growth must be achieved in harmony with ecological preservation.
“President Prabowo has repeatedly emphasized that our economic growth must be high, supported by food and energy self-sufficiency. The question is whether we can achieve this without sacrificing environmental sustainability,” AHY said in a statement on Wednesday.
He urged the development and adoption of clean and renewable energy, highlighting the critical role infrastructure plays in the country’s energy transition.

AHY called for a coordinated approach that aligns energy security with environmental goals, saying Indonesia must explore all clean and sustainable energy options.
“As Coordinating Minister, I want to ensure infrastructure development supports these efforts. We need to align energy security with our sustainability agenda,” he said.
On transportation, AHY said the government is prioritizing improved regional connectivity via land, sea, air, and rail, which he sees as essential not just for mobility, but for unlocking new centers of economic growth.
“Connectivity between regions must be strengthened with more efficient transport systems. I'm focused on building a roadmap that balances various national interests,” he said.
He added that the transportation strategy must ensure faster, more affordable, and inclusive movement of people, goods, and services across the country.
