Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Forestry, through its Agency for Forestry Extension and Human Resources Development (BP2SDM), has reaffirmed its commitment to building a more advanced and adaptive forestry human resources (HR) system.

In a written statement received in Jakarta on Wednesday, Head of BP2SDM Indra Eksploitasia announced the formation of an Effective Organizational Transformation Team and the drafting of a strategic work plan centered on four key pillars, aimed at driving measurable and impactful change.

“Organizational transformation is an urgent necessity for BP2SDM to effectively respond to future forestry challenges by preparing high-quality human resources,” Indra said.

She emphasized that BP2SDM must serve as the heart of forestry HR development, focusing on adaptability and competitiveness in line with the broader vision of Forestry Human Excellence.

“With the establishment of the Effective Team, we hope this transformation goes beyond conceptual discussions and is realized through tangible actions on the ground,” she added.

Indra said that the newly developed work plan sets a clear path for implementing each strategic pillar: the first pillar focuses on revamping communication and branding strategies, beginning with internalizing the agency's vision and tagline among employees and strengthening institutional image through public outreach campaigns.

The second pillar promotes a shift in work culture toward a core system by embedding values of collaboration, innovation, and results-orientation into daily operations.

The third pillar introduces the One Regional Office, One Innovation initiative, encouraging creativity and adaptability across BP2SDM’s regional offices to generate practical solutions to field challenges, including the management of forest education and training areas (KHDTK).

The fourth pillar centers on the implementation of a Corporate University model as a sustainable learning ecosystem, starting with its official launch, pilot programs, and ongoing evaluation.

Indra also stressed the importance of cross-agency collaboration involving forestry centers, regional offices, and forestry schools. He urged pillar leaders and team members to carry out their mandates diligently, ensuring the results are directly felt at the field level.

With the formation of the Effective Team and the strategic work plan, Indra reiterated BP2SDM’s commitment to accelerating a paradigm shift in forestry HR development.

“This transformation is expected to be a concrete step toward realizing Forestry Human Excellence — forestry professionals who are skilled, principled, and capable of addressing global challenges with adaptive and sustainable solutions, as envisioned in the fourth pillar of Asta Cita,” she said.
