Revita made the statement in response to recent reports of food poisoning affecting residents in several areas after consuming MBG.
"I believe the MBG from the TNI’s kitchen is hygienic. The recent news has highlighted several nutritional service units that were less than professional," he said while opening an international taekwondo competition at Ahmad Yani Sports Hall, TNI Headquarters, Cilangkap, East Jakarta, on Friday.
According to him, the entire food preparation process in the MBG kitchen follows strict standards. All ingredients used are guaranteed to be hygienic and nutritious.
He added that TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto and his staff are currently in Solo to inaugurate the MBG program.
Revita expressed hope that the MBG program, once launched in Solo, would serve as a channel to provide free, nutritious meals for the community.
"Hopefully the TNI Commander can clarify this, so we can fully implement government programs that directly benefit the public," he said.
