Jakarta (ANTARA) - Public Works Minister Dody Hanggodo on Friday described the planned Bogor–Serpong Tollway via Parung as a strategic infrastructure project to boost growth across Greater Jakarta.

“This tollway is a vital link connecting development centers in the Greater Jakarta area and supporting people’s livelihoods,” Hanggodo said during the signing of development documents, Friday.

Also speaking at the event, Head of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) Wilan Oktavian confirmed that the Bogor–Serpong Tollway via Parung has undergone extensive preparation. Construction is expected to begin in October 2026 and be completed by August 2028.

“The tollway will span 32.03 kilometers, with 27.83 km in West Java and 4.2 km in Banten,” Oktavian said.

He noted the project will be implemented in four phases, with an investment value capped at Rp12.351 trillion (approximately US$753 million), covering land acquisition, construction, and operations.

“Insha Allah, it will be built without using the state budget,” he added.

Oktavian also confirmed the tollway will form part of the Jakarta Outer Ring Road 3 (JORR3) network, connecting to both the Depok–Antasari and South Sentul–West Karawang tollways.
