“With Inspiration, all royalty payment processes are centralized under LMKN and can be easily accessed by commercial users,” said LMKN Head for Creators Andi Mulhanan Tombolotutu in a statement.
He said the platform was developed to ensure fair protection for creators, copyright holders, and related rights owners, while improving efficiency in royalty management.
LMKN Head for Related Rights Marcell Kirana H. Siahaan said the system strengthens LMKN’s legal mandate to collect and distribute royalties and will make payments easier for users.
“We hope royalty collection will increase significantly and deliver direct benefits to the country’s music community,” he said.

The new system targets commercial users of music in businesses such as restaurants, cafes, hotels, and karaoke venues, which are required to pay royalties for music used in their establishments.
LMKN is also developing a separate digital platform for royalty payments on music used at concerts, seminars, exhibitions, bazaars, and conferences, officials said.
Both systems are designed to help users process licenses and pay royalties based on rates set by the government, while ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the process.
The initiative marks a key step in LMKN’s effort to build a more transparent and technology-driven royalty management ecosystem, aimed at ensuring that creators, copyright holders, performers, and music users all receive fair value across Indonesia.
