"Indonesia is witnessing rapid growth in its creative economy, and therefore, we find it necessary to partner with international parties to further enhance product quality and optimally develop the market," he noted in a statement cited here on Tuesday.
Harsya described his meeting with the Culture Department, the Moscow Agency for Creative Industries (ACI), and the Video Game Industry Development Organization (VIDO) in Jakarta on Monday (October 6) as a valuable opportunity to forge cooperation across various creative economy sub-sectors.
"We can mutually develop our markets and jointly nurture talents," the minister said.
He also told his Russian guests that the Ministry of Creative Economy had identified eight priority program clusters to boost the country's creative economy, highlighting efforts to optimize data and information and establish a hub for developing creative economic resources.
The ministry, he continued, has been working to identify and catalog the creative economic potential of all 38 provinces of Indonesia, providing references for private sectors or foreign governments seeking collaboration in the sector.
For his part, Deputy Head of the Moscow City Department of Culture Mikhail Demidenko underscored his city's vital role in Russia's creative industries, noting that around 60 percent of Russia's creative economy exports originate from Moscow, with the value expected to rise significantly by 2030.
On infrastructure, Demidenko pointed out that the municipal government plans to develop Kinopark by 2030 as a filmmaking center featuring sets inspired by different historical eras and to launch the Moscow Game Hub in November this year.
He added that beyond serving the gaming industry, the hub is also designed to facilitate the development of animation, with hopes of boosting the global competitiveness of Russia's creative economy products.
