Speaking at Sekolah Rakyat in Malang City on Friday, Aryani emphasized that teachers at the school must address the students' needs, particularly by providing in-depth foreign language training.
“As we look toward 2025, opportunities to work abroad will continue to expand. Germany, for example, is currently in need of kindergarten teachers, so this is not a challenging task. However, proficiency in German is essential. This must be prepared now,” Aryani said.
She also mentioned that many students at the school aspire to work in countries like Malaysia, Russia, and Japan, pursuing careers as doctors, teachers, or nurses.
“Their aspirations can certainly be realized as long as they remain dedicated to developing their skills while studying here,” she added.
Aryani explained that her visit to the school was aimed at conducting a thorough evaluation of the Sekolah Rakyat program. Her ministry, she pointed out, has a key role in ensuring the success of the program.
“This commitment is not only about providing equal educational opportunities, but also about breaking the cycle of poverty. It serves as a pathway for children from disadvantaged families to secure a brighter future,” she said.
Aryani also addressed the state of the school's facilities, including bathrooms and dormitories, noting that they were in good condition and met the necessary standards.
“Following this visit, we will submit a report to the Minister of Social Affairs, the Cabinet Secretary, and the Deputy Minister of Social Affairs. We are working together to support this initiative,” Aryani concluded.
