Jakarta (ANTARA) - Manpower Minister Yassierli emphasized that the transition toward a green economy is a critical momentum for driving national workforce transformation.

He noted that, beyond being an environmental agenda, the green transition offers significant opportunities to create decent jobs, strengthen workforce competence, and build an inclusive and sustainable economy.

"A successful green transition can only be achieved if our workforce is ready to adapt to changes. We are ensuring every worker has the opportunity to enhance their skills and participate actively in the green economy sector," he said in a statement on Sunday.

The Minister stressed that the success of this transition is highly dependent on human resource readiness.

To this end, the Ministry of Manpower continues to accelerate various upskilling and reskilling programs that focus specifically on developing green skills.

To strengthen the green training ecosystem, the Ministry of Manpower is expanding collaboration with key partners, including business players, universities, and international organizations.

This cooperation is expected to allow green training to cover more regions and accelerate the transformation of job training centers (BLKs) to be more adaptive to the future needs of industries.

"BLK transformation is a strategic step to prepare the workforce for changes in the economic structure," the Minister remarked.

"Through green training, we want to create human resources who are resilient, competent, and competitive in sustainable development."

Furthermore, Yassierli stressed that the green transition must be human-centered, ensuring every worker is protected and that no one is left behind in the process.

"The green transition is not merely about the environmental agenda. It is part of the national strategy to create quality jobs, bolster economic resilience, and realize a more sustainable future for Indonesia," he concluded.
