Jakarta (ANTARA) - The investment and cooperation secured at the Indonesia International Sustainability Forum (ISF) 2025 reflect global confidence in Indonesia’s policy direction, Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Regional Development stated.

“The investment and cooperation agreed demonstrate international trust in Indonesia’s sustainability policy direction and strengthen the foundation for a resilient and inclusive green economy,” said Deputy for Basic Infrastructure at the ministry Rachmat Kaimuddin in a statement on Sunday.

The 2025 ISF, held on October 10–11, yielded thirteen Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and three Letters of Intent (LoI), along with substantial investment commitments totaling Rp278.33 trillion, or US$17.4 billion.

Kaimuddin, who chaired the 2025 ISF Committee, emphasized that the forum demonstrated Indonesia’s commitment to being at the forefront of global sustainable development.

He noted the forum wasn't just a platform for sharing ideas, but an event focused on ensuring that cross-stakeholder collaboration translates into concrete actions.

The strong participation of over 12,500 attendees from 61 countries further highlighted the world’s attention to Indonesia’s efforts to lead the transition.

The forum also brought to light upcoming green projects, such as Waste to Energy initiatives planned for 33 cities across Indonesia. These projects have already attracted the interest of 192 global companies.

According to Deputy for Investment Promotion at the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming Nurul Ichwan the majority of these investment commitments will be realized gradually through green energy projects, sustainable supply chain development, and industrial decarbonization initiatives.
