Jakarta (ANTARA) - Golkar Party chairman Bahlil Lahadalia reaffirmed his confidence in President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, marking their first year in office on Monday.

He acknowledged that no government is flawless but said Prabowo consistently directs his ministers to pursue improvements that benefit the public.

“There is no perfect human being. What matters is our shared direction toward the betterment of the people and the nation,” Lahadalia said after attending Golkar’s visit to Kalibata Heroes Cemetery in Jakarta.

He welcomed the 83.5 percent public satisfaction rating reported by a recent Index Politica survey, attributing the high score to Prabowo’s leadership and policy focus.

According to Lahadalia, the administration has prioritized pro-people initiatives such as the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program, the Sekolah Rakyat education program for underprivileged children, the Red and White Village Cooperatives, and efforts to achieve food and energy self-sufficiency.

As Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Lahadalia said the government has issued permits for 45,000 community wells that had remained unlicensed since Indonesia’s independence.

The Index Politica survey, conducted earlier this month, found that 83.5 percent of respondents were satisfied with the performance of Prabowo’s administration during its first year.

Index Politica Research Director Fadhly Alimin Hasyim said 90.8 percent of respondents were aware of Prabowo’s programs and policies through news coverage in traditional and social media.

“This data shows a very high level of public satisfaction with President Prabowo’s leadership and strong positive media exposure,” Hasyim said on Wednesday (Oct 15).
