"We continue to work hard to advance digitalization and adopt technology for more efficient governance. This includes the health, education, and humanitarian sectors," he said at a plenary cabinet meeting at the State Palace in Jakarta on Monday.
He said these efforts include the implementation of the National Single Socioeconomic Data (DTSEN), which serves as the basis for integrating data across ministries and agencies.
The President said the single data system is being implemented for the first time in the history of Indonesian governance.
Through the system, every government agency will no longer use separate data but instead rely on a single, integrated national database.
This step is expected to improve the accuracy of social assistance delivery, reduce the risk of budget inefficiency, and ensure that benefits are received only by eligible recipients.
"Incorrect data can lead to financial waste. Incorrect data can cause those who are entitled to assistance not receiving it," he emphasized.
Alongside digitalization efforts, Indonesia has recorded notable progress in digital government, or e-government implementation.
In the UN E-Government Survey 2024, which provides a comprehensive assessment of the global digital government landscape, Indonesia is ranked 64th out of 193 UN member states, up significantly from 77th in 2022.
Monday’s plenary cabinet meeting marked one year since President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka were inaugurated on October 20, 2024.
At the meeting, the President highlighted several achievements of government programs implemented under his administration, including the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program, which has reached 36.7 million beneficiaries.
He also praised ministers from diverse backgrounds for their collective work, which he said has helped the government achieve success over the past year.
