Suryani said the MBG program, with adjustments to address emerging challenges, should be maintained because it has proven effective in stimulating the local economy, especially in rural and regional areas.
“This program continues to create jobs while driving regional economic growth,” she said in Jakarta on Tuesday.
She noted that the first year of the Prabowo administration had been successful, with public satisfaction exceeding 80 percent.
“Alhamdulillah, the public satisfaction rate with Prabowo-Gibran’s leadership is above 80 percent. This shows that people have confidence in the government,” she said.
Suryani also praised other social initiatives, including the National Internship Program for fresh graduates and the Free Health Check-up (CKG) program, which she said were delivering tangible benefits to the public.

“The CKG program and the Healthy Living Community Movement (Germas) launched by the Health Ministry can help reduce curative spending under the National Health Insurance (BPJS Kesehatan),” she added.
According to the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), as of October 20, 2025, the MBG program had reached 36,773,520 beneficiaries, including preschoolers, students from elementary to high school, pregnant and breastfeeding women, and toddlers.
The agency also reported that more than 12,500 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) are now operating nationwide to improve equitable access and community nutrition quality.
“These achievements reflect the government’s commitment to ensuring that the MBG program is implemented effectively and fairly. Each SPPG serves as a community kitchen that provides nutritious meals under strict food safety and hygiene standards,” BGN Head Dadan Hindayana said.
He added that the expansion of SPPG facilities continues, with a focus on disadvantaged, frontier, and outermost (3T) regions.
