Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia’s Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) has launched the ACCES program to expand financing opportunities for medium enterprises, aiming to boost their competitiveness and support economic growth.

Bagus Rachman, Deputy of Medium Enterprises at the ministry, said the program addresses challenges medium enterprises face in accessing financing.

"Medium enterprises are strategic for the national economy. They bridge micro and small businesses with large companies, creating added value, jobs, and innovation," he said in a statement.

Through ACCES (Accelerating Capital Resources for Medium Enterprises), medium enterprises will strengthen cluster-based partnerships and help micro and small businesses enter industrial supply chains.

"Though not numerous, medium enterprises have high added value. They connect smaller businesses to supply chains, enabling shared growth and more job creation," Rachman added.

The program boosts financial literacy and credibility for medium enterprises, giving them access to financing up to Rp20 billion (US$1.2 million) through banks, fintech, crowdfunding, and the capital market via accescapital.id.

To ensure success, the ministry collaborates with the Financial Services Authority (OJK), financial institutions, consultants, MSME associations, communities, and business networks.

"ACCES is not just about capital access but building a collaborative ecosystem that positions medium enterprises as key drivers of the national economy," Rachman said.
