Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya said the collaboration involves the National Information and Communication Technology Entrepreneurs Association (APTIKNAS) and the Indonesian Digitalization and Cybersecurity Association (ADIKSI).
“With these two associations, we will identify and support local cybersecurity entrepreneurs and brands to help them scale up,” Harsya said after attending National Cybersecurity Connect 2025 in Jakarta on Wednesday.
He emphasized that the rapid digitalization of the creative economy requires robust cybersecurity systems to protect innovation within Indonesia’s creative industries.
“We believe cybersecurity serves as a shield protecting innovation and the creative industry. For that reason, we have established a special unit dedicated to digital innovation, including cybersecurity solutions,” he noted.
Harsya stated that the ministry plays a strategic role in nurturing local technology startups capable of producing cybersecurity solutions.
He added that with government support, Indonesia aims to become not only a user but also a producer of cybersecurity technologies capable of competing globally.
“We want to continue nurturing a generation of young Indonesian innovators ready to bring homegrown technologies to the global stage,” he stated.
The ministry will also promote cybersecurity awareness among its industry partners to support the growth and development of Indonesia’s creative economy ecosystem.
He noted that the ministry works with more than 150 associations across 17 creative economy subsectors, which will be involved in collaborative efforts to raise awareness of the importance of cybersecurity.
Harsya affirmed the ministry’s commitment to support digital talent development and promoting local cybersecurity startups, emphasizing that cybersecurity will remain an integral part of Indonesia’s national creative ecosystem.
