According to the official AYG Bahrain 2025 results monitored here on Friday, Indonesia finished 15th overall, with four gold, six silver, and 18 bronze medals.
The first gold medal for the Red and White team was won by pencak silat athlete Furgon Habbil Winata in the men’s 51-55 kilogram category, defeating Bahrain’s Abdulla Qassim with a 81-10 score.
Weightlifting also contributed to Indonesia’s gold tally, with Muhammad Rijal Abdillah excelling in the men’s 60kg category. Abdillah achieved a personal best with a 143 kg clean and jerk lift.
The third gold came from mixed doubles badminton pair Raihan Daffa Edsel Pramono and Atresia Naufa Candani, who triumphed over Hong Kong’s Sai Shing Cheung and Wing Chi Chu 21-11, 21-17 in the final match. The fourth gold was secured by Sashenka Fatimah in the women’s judo -63kg division.
The remaining six silver and 18 bronze medals were won across a variety of sports, including athletics, badminton, beach volleyball, esports, golf, mixed martial arts, swimming, taekwondo, teqball, triathlon, volleyball, and weightlifting.
Indonesia finished 15th position overall, behind Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, North Korea, UAE, Hong Kong, India, Thailand, Iran, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and China.
China became the general champion with 147 medals—63 gold, 49 silver, and 35 bronze—followed by Uzbekistan with 81 medals (37 gold, 16 silver, 28 bronze) and Kazakhstan in third place with 93 medals (24 gold, 29 silver, and 40 bronze).
