Population and Family Development Minister Wihaji said in Jakarta on Tuesday that the motorbikes are intended to help workers more easily deliver free nutritious meals.
He noted that family planning workers have played a key role in ensuring accurate MBG distribution through door-to-door services.
Wihaji said the government has deployed 42,163 family planning workers to distribute meals to more than three million pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and children under five.
To support their mobility, he said President Prabowo intends to provide motorcycles, potentially including electric models.
Wihaji added that budget decisions would rest with the president, while his ministry would ensure proper beneficiary data and effective implementation.
"My duty as the president's aide is to help identify target beneficiaries and ensure the initiative delivers real benefits to the public," he stated.
He said the president also instructed the ministry to intensify capacity-building programs so workers can better support family welfare initiatives.
President Prabowo launched the MBG program to improve nutrition, strengthen human resources, bolster food security, and stimulate local economies.
As of November, the program has served about 44 million people through roughly 15,000 kitchens nationwide. The government aims to expand coverage to 82.9 million beneficiaries by March 2026.
