"We do not want to depend on any country in the world, and we must not. For the safety and future of our nation, we must believe in our own strength," President said in his remarks at the 2025 Bank Indonesia Annual Meeting in Jakarta, Friday.
Prabowo highlighted the importance of national self-reliance amid global geopolitical and geoeconomic uncertainty.
The President stressed that the government must act with good intentions, uphold truth and justice, and also implement policies that are transparent, rational, and pro-people.
According to him, all policies must be carried out with composure, confidence, and a strong determination to be independent.
"A government that has the right intentions and upholds the truth and justice, carrying out transparent governance with policies guided by common sense, pro-people, implemented with calm, confidence, and determination to stand on our own feet," he reiterated.
The Head of State expressed optimism that with strong commitment and determination, the economy can be managed effectively so that the country will not need to rely on other nations.
Furthermore, the President noted that the most crucial phase currently is to execute policies swiftly and effectively.
"I remind you that now is the time for implementation. Now is the moment for execution, how to solve problems, how to solve the problem, how to bring solutions, as fast as possible to the people," Prabowo said.
