Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto has authorized an increase in Ready-to-Use Funds (DSP) in the State Budget to respond to the severe flash floods and landslides in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.

“If more funds are needed, they will be provided. This applies to all relevant ministries and institutions, including the military and the National Police,” State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi said on Wednesday (December 3).

He stressed that disaster response efforts in the three provinces are running at full capacity with strong support from the central government.

The priority now is ensuring fast and effective emergency operations on the ground.

“All national resources are working hard to manage the situation,” he added.

The government is also tightening coordination among ministries and agencies to ensure the smooth delivery of essential supplies.

According to Hadi, food stocks for affected areas remain sufficient, and state-owned energy company Pertamina continues to meet fuel needs.

Fuel is also being delivered by air to isolated areas cut off by the floods and landslides.

Hadi said the government is still able to manage the aftermath of the disaster, including maintaining adequate food supplies for survivors.

When asked about the possibility of seeking international assistance, he responded, “For now, no. We are not opening that option. But we thank many friendly countries for their concern.”

He noted that while Indonesia appreciates offers of help from partner nations, the government believes it can handle the crisis with existing resources.

Flash floods struck Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra on November 25, 2025. As of December 3, the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) reported 804 deaths and 634 people still missing.
