The recovery and rebuilding efforts are scheduled to take place over a 100-day period.
“Preparations for the rehabilitation and reconstruction phase have been completed. The target is 100 days, with a one-year timeline for the public to monitor measurable progress,” Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno said on Thursday.
He emphasized that, in line with President Prabowo Subianto’s directive, the state must be present and support communities recovering from this difficult situation.
“The government’s focus is not only on distributing logistical aid such as rice and instant noodles but also on ensuring that all citizens have hope to rebuild their lives,” he added.
According to Pratikno, efforts are being made to help communities regain normalcy during the emergency response period. All levels of government are working to meet the population’s basic needs.
“The President’s instructions are clear. We must mobilize all resources from the central government, all ministries and institutions, the military, the National Police, and the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) to ensure improvements, acceleration, and stronger responses to community needs,” he stated.
He also expressed appreciation to Indonesians who have shown solidarity in supporting communities affected by the disaster.
“We also express our appreciation to all officers and volunteers who are working tirelessly to rescue victims in extremely difficult conditions. We urge all parties to maintain the spirit of solidarity and remain united for the safety and recovery of our brothers and sisters affected by the disaster,” he noted.
