During the ceremony, Sharif directly greeted him at the palace courtyard. Both leaders then walked toward a podium to receive a salute from Pakistani soldiers, accompanied by the national anthems of Indonesia and Pakistan.
President Prabowo next inspected the guard of honor comprising personnel from Pakistan’s army, navy, and air force. He then introduced members of his delegation to the Pakistani prime minister.
The Indonesian delegation included Foreign Affairs Minister Sugiono; Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto; Higher Education, Science, and Technology Minister Brian Yuliarto; Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya; and Indonesian Ambassador to Pakistan Chandra Warsenanto Sukotjo, among others.
After the introductions, Sharif invited President Prabowo to plant tree seeds at the palace front yard. The symbolic gesture aimed to highlight the long-standing friendship between Indonesia and Pakistan.
The agenda continued with a one-on-one meeting between the two leaders, which was followed by a bilateral meeting involving their respective delegations.
President Prabowo and PM Sharif later witnessed the exchange of several cooperation documents, which laid the foundation for partnerships in higher education; halal product trade and certification; development of micro, small, and medium enterprises; efforts against drug-related crimes; and healthcare improvement.
The procession involved Foreign Minister Sugiono and Higher Education Minister Yuliarto, alongside Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and several Pakistani ministers.
Following the exchange, President Prabowo and Prime Minister Sharif issued a joint statement summarizing the outcomes of their engagements.
President Prabowo is scheduled to meet Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari after completing his program at the Prime Minister House. Zardari had also welcomed the Indonesian leader upon his arrival at Nur Khan Base Airport on Monday (December 8).
