The initiative is designed to enhance the capacity of participating businesses through support in business strategy development, collection concept design, fashion presentation techniques, and brand storytelling.
Director of Fashion at the Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency Romi Astuti said the program aims to help local brands “move up a level” by improving their design, business concepts, and overall industry competitiveness.
Throughout the program, participants receive training and mentoring from professional designers, fashion industry practitioners, and academics.
As part of the initiative, twelve selected brands from Bali and the Greater Jakarta area—including Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi—were invited to showcase their collections at the Bali Fashion Trend 2025 event.
The participating labels included Ceu Kokom Ecoprint, Ghaea Home, Da’poza, Opie Ovie, Suwari Loka, Srihanna, Guts Etnik, Milioki, Etiesta, Mierto, Amod Bali, Batik Marunda, and Deden Siswanto for MYMD.
"We believe these brands carry significant potential for the future of Indonesia’s creative industry," Astuti noted, adding that the Bali showcase marking an important step toward strengthening their position in the national fashion sector while reaching broader markets.
The Fashion Incubation Program is described as a comprehensive facilitation and development scheme aimed at improving the quality of fashion products to increase their added value and competitiveness.
It includes business curation, intensive training, and the provision of materials on design, fashion trends, market introduction, and brand-strengthening strategies.
In addition to capacity building, participants are supported in the product creation process, with facilities provided for photoshoots and catalog production to assist in marketing development.
