The cooperation was formalized with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on optimizing sharia banking services and products, attended by Villages Minister Yandri Susanto in Jakarta on Monday.
“We will continue to collaborate to support objective number six of President Prabowo Subianto’s Asta Cita primary missions. God willing, this MoU will bring progress to villages across Indonesia,” he said.
Under Asta Cita number six, the Prabowo administration seeks to drive national development from rural areas. To that end, Susanto noted that the government has launched various villagebased initiatives, most notably the Red and White Village Cooperatives program and the Free Nutritious Meals program.
On that note, the minister stressed the importance of raising public awareness about government programs. He expressed confidence that as a public firm, BSI has the capacity to help expand the reach of such initiatives, including to rural communities.
Earlier, Susanto underscored that fostering strong synergy among all stakeholders in village development is essential to realizing the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision.
“If we work hand in hand with strong commitment, I am confident we will succeed in ushering in Indonesia’s golden era in 2045 or even sooner,” he said on July 23, 2025.
He stressed that the government is firmly committed to driving development from the village level to achieve an equitable economy and eradicate poverty, as mandated in the Asta Cita.
The minister also noted that villages across Indonesia possess vast strengths and potential across various sectors, and that fully harnessing them requires support from other state institutions, the private sector, universities, and youth.
