Speaking at a press conference at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Monday, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi stated that there has so far been no update regarding a potential bilateral meeting between Prabowo and Trump.
“We will check again later because we have not yet received any update on whether there is indeed an agenda to meet with President Trump,” Hadi stated.
President Prabowo is scheduled to deliver a keynote speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, on Thursday, January 22, 2026.
According to the official World Economic Forum website, President Prabowo’s special address is scheduled to take place from 14:00 to 14:30 local time (CET). During the session, President Prabowo is scheduled to share the stage with World Economic Forum President and CEO Borge Brende.
“He is scheduled to be one of the speakers. Of course, at this global economic forum, this is part of our efforts to open up potential cooperation with all friendly countries,” Hadi added.
Other world leaders scheduled to deliver special addresses at this year’s WEF include French President Emmanuel Macron, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng.
Also expected to speak are Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres, U.S. President Donald J. Trump, Argentine President Javier Milei and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
Prior to traveling to Davos, President Prabowo will first visit London, where he is scheduled to meet British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and King Charles III.
In London, Prabowo will meet with Prime Minister Keir Starmer to discuss agreements on several strategic cooperation initiatives, including in the economic and maritime sectors.
Prabowo is also set to meet King Charles III to discuss environmental and nature conservation issues, including elephant conservation, together with several global philanthropic figure.
