“There are several pillars of tourism: attractions, accommodation, and connectivity,” Marthini said on Monday.
She explained that connectivity plays a vital role in facilitating public mobility and boosting economic growth within the tourism sector.
Marthini encouraged strategic collaboration among stakeholders, including the government, transportation industry, and related business players, to strengthen Indonesia’s tourism network.
“If connectivity between countries or between islands is weak, it is impossible for us to achieve our tourism goals,” she added.
According to Statistics Indonesia (BPS), domestic tourist movements in November 2025 reached 96.45 million trips, a 0.47 percent increase from the previous month. Compared with November 2024, domestic tourism rose 19.64 percent.
