Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) said that throughout 2025, the number of Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) reached 19,188, serving 55.1 million beneficiaries of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program.

“As of December 31, 2025, we closed the year with 19,188 SPPG units serving 55.1 million beneficiaries,” head of BGN, Dadan Hindayana, said during a meeting between BGN and Commission IX of the House of Representatives (DPR) here on Tuesday.

He said the implementation was made possible by the absorption of government assistance funds for the MBG program amounting to Rp55.2 trillion, exceeding the initial target of Rp52.2 trillion.

“The government assistance funds absorbed for the nutritious meals program amounted to Rp55.2 trillion, exceeding the target of Rp52.2 trillion,” Hindayana said.

The BGN received additional budget allocations from the Ministry of Finance, and the total number of portions we processed over one year was approximately 3.7 billion portions.

He added that as of January 19, 2026, a total of 21,102 SPPG units had been established, reaching 58.3 million beneficiaries of the MBG Program, with daily operational funds reaching Rp855 billion.

“And budget realization to date has reached nearly Rp18 trillion. As of January 16, 2026, it stood at Rp17.398 trillion. As of this morning, it has approached Rp18 trillion,” Hindayana said.

Of the MBG budget, he continued, 70 percent is used to purchase food ingredients, 20 percent covers operational costs including wages, and 10 percent is allocated for incentives for all partners participating in the MBG Program.

The MBG Program was launched on January 6, 2025, starting with 190 SPPG or MBG kitchen units across 26 provinces in Indonesia.
