Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia’s para-swimming team added five golds, five silvers, and six bronzes to its medal collection at the ASEAN Para Games 2025 in Thailand on Friday, with Jendi Pangabean shining through with two gold medals.

Pangabean asserted his dominance in the men’s S9 event at the Aquatic Center His Majesty the King’s 80th Birthday Anniversary Stadium in Nakhon Ratchasima, clinching gold in the 100-meter backstroke with a time of 1 minute and 06.88 seconds.

He added a second gold after stopping the clock at 1 minute 05.16 seconds to win the 100-meter butterfly.

Yavianda Maulana Rifky secured another gold in the men’s 100-meter freestyle S12 with a time of 56.29 seconds, following his victory in the men’s 50-meter butterfly S12 the previous day, when he set an ASEAN Para Games record of 27.97 seconds.

A similar feat was achieved by Thursday’s gold winner, Yuda Bayu Putra, who claimed a second gold in the men’s 200-meter individual medley SM10 with a time of 2 minutes and 38.18 seconds.

Meanwhile, Ramadhani Ubaidillah Amsyar Juba triumphed in the men’s 100-meter butterfly S10, registering 1 minute and 07.36 seconds. He also collected silver in the 200-meter individual medley SM10.

Silver medals were likewise earned by Iasadewa Satrianya in the men’s 100-meter freestyle, Mulyadi in the men’s 50-meter breaststroke SB4, Indriani Syuci in the women’s 200-meter individual medley SM14, and Azizah Zahra Nur in the women’s 200-meter freestyle S9.

On the bronze tally, Mutiara Cantik Harsanto finished third in the women’s 200-meter individual medley SM10, after previously winning gold and setting a competition record in the women’s 100-meter breaststroke SB9 on Wednesday.

Other bronze medals went to Numberi Menaser Meriba in the men’s 100-meter freestyle S12, Saputra Rino in the 100-meter backstroke S9, Afandi Lutfi in the 100-meter butterfly S11, Simon Situmorang in the 50-meter breaststroke SB4, and Aisyah Siti in the women’s 200-meter individual medley SM14.
