Speaking in Bad Ragaz, Switzerland, on Friday, Sugiono emphasized Indonesia’s neutral position amid rising tensions in Greenland.
“In essence, we maintain a non-aligned stance. The world is highly dynamic, but national interests must remain protected,” he said.
Sugiono stressed that Indonesia consistently prioritizes global peace and stability as essential foundations for prosperity and international welfare.
Echoing President Prabowo Subianto, he noted that without peace and stability, achieving global prosperity and equity is impossible.
“Without stability, without peace, the world cannot reach a state where societies flourish,” Sugiono said.
He added that Indonesia will continue promoting international peace and stability through diplomacy and global cooperation.
“That is our position,” Sugiono concluded.
