The investment comes from PT Ultrajaya Milk Industry & Trading Company, which recently inaugurated a new factory in the Cibitung industrial zone, Bekasi, West Java, on December 8, 2025.
The facility is dedicated to producing ultra-high temperature (UHT) milk in 125 ml and 200 ml packages specifically for the MBG program.
Production capacity is set to expand further in March 2026.
"Indonesia’s milk processing industry must be able to meet the program’s requirements in terms of production capacity, product quality, and reliable raw material supply," Kartasasmita emphasized.
He underscored the government’s commitment to building strong partnerships between industry players and domestic dairy farmers.
Acting Director General of Agroindustry Putu Juli Ardika highlighted that Ultrajaya’s new plant has adopted Industry 4.0 technologies to maximize efficiency and competitiveness.
The facility integrates automated guided vehicles, autopilot forklifts, manufacturing execution systems, and automated storage and retrieval systems, alongside an advanced ultrafiltration wastewater treatment plant.
To ensure a steady supply of raw materials, the company currently operates two dairy farms in West Java and North Sumatra, with a combined herd of around 7,000 cattle.
It plans to expand by adding 4,000 more cattle in the near future.
The Ministry of Industry has also invited the company to participate in the National Lighthouse Industry 4.0 initiative, which aims to strengthen Indonesia’s dairy sector and bolster national food security while supporting the MBG program.
