Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Aceh Provincial Government has expressed its appreciation to the Indonesian National Police Education and Training Institute (STIK) for distributing 1.2 million e-learning PINs, which have significantly supported students in Aceh affected by recent disasters.

“The e-learning PIN assistance is very helpful for schools and students in maintaining the continuity of the learning process,” said Acting Head of the Aceh Education Office Murthalamuddin in Banda Aceh on Wednesday.

The 1.2 million e-learning PINs were officially handed over to Aceh Police Chief Inspector General Marzuki Ali Basyah during a ceremony in Jakarta on Tuesday (Jan. 27). The program demonstrates support for education, particularly for students in disaster-affected areas such as Aceh Tamiang District.

The initiative measure is designed to reach students at the elementary, junior high, and senior high school levels through an electronic learning system that allows students to study independently with good internet access.

Murthalamuddin said the Aceh provincial government welcomes cross-sector collaboration to ensure the continuity of education during emergencies. He noted that cooperation among the National Police, schools, businesses, and local governments reflects the state’s commitment to fulfilling the right to education for Acehnese children, even amid disasters.

He added that the Aceh Education Office continues to work with various stakeholders to prepare flexible and adaptive learning schemes, including the use of various digital platforms, independent learning methods, and policy adjustments at affected educational institutions.

According to the latest data, the impact of the disaster on Aceh’s education sector has been significant, with 2,805 schools affected, along with 362,617 students and 34,081 teachers experiencing disruptions to facilities and infrastructure.

To address the situation, the central government has provided special flexibility in the use of the 2026 Education Unit Operational Assistance Fund (BOSP) for educational institutions in Aceh.

The policy aims to ensure the continuity of teaching and learning activities following the hydrometeorological disaster that struck the province in late November 2025.

Murthalamuddin expressed hope that all educational institutions in Aceh, particularly those affected by the disaster, would make optimal use of the policy to ensure that the learning process continues effectively.
