Jakarta (ANTARA) - Nickel Industries Limited reported stable operational performance in its Quarterly Activities Report for the period ending 31 December 2025, highlighting steady operational progress and ongoing commitment to safety and sustainability across its operations.

Justin Werner, Managing Director of Nickel Industries, stated that during the reporting period, the company recorded a 12-month Company-wide Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR) of 0.00 as of December 2025. No lost-time injuries were reported during the period.

“Workforce safety remains a prerequisite for operational performance. Achieving a zero LTIFR and millions of safe man-hours shows that our safety culture is applied consistently across all operations,” Werner said in a statement received in Jakarta on Friday.

Over the past 12 months, Nickel Industries achieved 17.7 million safe man-hours without any lost-time injuries while maintaining a low Total Recordable Injury Frequency Rate (TRIFR) of 0.68.

These figures reflect the company’s focus on protecting its workforce, which Werner emphasized as a foundation for sustainable operational performance.

In addition to safety, the company reported progress in sustainability and strategic business initiatives, he said.

During the quarter, Nickel Industries completed a strategic transaction with Sphere, acquiring a 10 percent stake in Excelsior Nickel Cobalt (ENC) along with an offtake agreement for nickel cathode products.

Werner noted that Sphere is one of only five accredited suppliers to SpaceX and the only supplier with a long-term contract.

The investment underscores the quality and traceability of ENC cathode products and the company’s readiness to meet the standards of global supply chains.

On governance and ESG, Nickel Industries received national recognition through the Indonesia Leadership Award 2025 and the Excellence in Sustainability Leadership Award from CNBC Indonesia.
