Jakarta (ANTARA) - Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian praised President Prabowo Subianto’s presence at the 2026 National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) of the Central and Regional Governments, held on Monday in Sentul, Bogor District.

“We convey our deepest gratitude to the President of Indonesia for taking the time to attend and provide strategic direction to government ranks at both the central and regional levels,” Karnavian said while delivering his report at the Sentul International Convention Center (SICC) on Monday.

He said the 2026 Rakornas was an instruction from the President to the Minister of Home Affairs, initially planned for early January 2026. However, due to various state agendas, the meeting could only be held on February 2, 2026.

This year’s Rakornas carries the theme “Central-Regional Synergy in Implementing Presidential Priority Programs toward Golden Indonesia 2045.”

The minister added that 2026 marks the second year of the implementation of the 2025-2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN), which elaborates the President’s Astacita missions.

“During the first year, many achievements have been made, as we have witnessed and as have been published to the public and the media,” he said.

He emphasized that the 2026 Rakornas was held to accelerate development in 2026, which requires strong synchronization between the central and regional governments.

The first session discussed economic, investment, and energy policies, presented by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming, and the Head of the Nusantara Capital City Authority.

The second session highlighted several strategic programs such as Nutritious Meal (MBG) and the Red and White Village Cooperatives. The third session discussed law enforcement in safeguarding the President’s strategic programs.

The Rakornas was attended by 4,011 participants comprising representatives of the central government, regional governments, and the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda).

Of the total, 525 participants were from central government institutions, while 3,486 came from provincial, district, and city governments.
