Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Waskita Beton Precast Tbk (ticker code: WSBP) has been entrusted to be the supplier of precast concrete products for the Tangguh Ubadari Project, Carbon Capture Utilization & Storage/CCUS, and Compression (UCC) located in West Papua, managed by British Petroleum. This involvement is part of WSBP's role in supporting large-scale and strategic national energy projects, while strengthening the company's portfolio in the supply of precast concrete products for industrial projects in eastern Indonesia.

The Tangguh UCC Project is an integrated natural gas facility development that plays a crucial role in ensuring the sustainability of the national energy supply. The project is also designed with a more environmentally friendly approach through the use of emission management technology, aligning with efforts to apply sustainable development principles in the energy sector.

“WSBP's involvement in the Tangguh UCC Project is a sign of trust placed in us to contribute to large-scale energy projects in Indonesia. This participation proves that WSBP's precast concrete products are capable of meeting the needs of strategic projects with high standards of quality and reliability,” said Fandy Dewanto Vice President of Corporate Secretary WSBP.

In this project, WSBP supplied 11,089 spun pile products used as foundation elements in the construction of facilities and supporting infrastructure for the project. WSBP spun piles were chosen because they have high bearing capacity, consistent concrete quality, and long-term durability, making them suitable for industrial projects with challenging soil conditions.

WSBP's participation in this project also reflects the company's experience and capabilities in supporting various large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects in Indonesia. Supported by production facilities spread across various regions and a standardized quality control system, all products for the Tangguh UCC Project are produced and shipped directly from the Precast Plant WSBP Karawang and Prambon while maintaining high quality standards.

“Spun pile production is currently ongoing and is targeted for completion in May 2026, before entering the delivery phase. WSBP is committed to maintaining product quality, work safety, and timely supply. By providing high-quality precast concrete products, WSBP strives to be part of the sustainable national energy infrastructure development chain,” he added.

In line with the implementation of good corporate governance principles, WSBP is committed to conducting all company operations with consideration for safety, quality, and environmental sustainability. Participation in the UCC Tangguh project, which prioritizes emissions management, is a manifestation of WSBP's contribution to supporting sustainable development, while strengthening the role of the national precast concrete industry in responsible energy infrastructure development.
