“Polri is committed to supporting and safeguarding government programs, especially in food self-sufficiency, energy self-sufficiency, downstream industries, and other priority programs listed in the government’s work plan,” he said after the 2026 Polri Leadership Meeting here on Tuesday.
The Police Chief added that Polri’s support in executing the government’s work plan is expected to create public security and order that will bolster economic growth. He also expressed hope that collaboration between Polri and the government would help realize a sovereign and prosperous Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan appreciated Polri’s support in food self-sufficiency programs and monitoring food prices.
“At all levels, district police, regional police, to the central (headquarters), we are very grateful for Polri’s support,” Hasan said.
He recalled that during the early stages of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program, the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) faced challenges in establishing Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) kitchens. Thanks to Polri’s assistance, the SPPG kitchens are now running smoothly.
“Polri’s kitchens are the best. Wherever I go in the regions, the kitchen units managed by Polri are among the best,” he said.
Hasan also shared that Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman encountered difficulties in setting the government purchase price (HPP) of unhusked rice (GKP) at Rp6,500 per kilogram.
With the police's presence, price disparities could be reduced, and the HPP was successfully implemented.
“That achievement was also thanks to Polri's support. For that, we express our gratitude,” he added.
