He emphasized the importance of maintaining a fair and transparent selection process free from fraud to ensure public trust in the university admission system.
"All forms of cheating must be prevented collectively, so that no prospective students are disadvantaged," he stressed in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Minister Yuliarto also called on universities to strengthen their support for prospective students from various social and economic backgrounds.
He added that universities are expected to actively communicate that higher education is open to everyone.
This includes utilizing affirmative action programs, scholarships, and specific support for students from underprivileged families, underdeveloped regions, and disaster-affected areas.
"Higher education must not be perceived as accessible only to the wealthy. Universities must truly accommodate all groups," he said.
The minister urged SNPMB committees to create a mechanism or form a special task force in universities to ensure continued access to education for disaster-affected communities.
For 2026, the SNPMB selection pathways remain unchanged. The three existing pathways will continue as before: the Achievement-Based National Selection (SNBP), the Test-Based National Selection (SNBT), and the Independent Selection by State Universities, with quotas remaining the same as last year.
Currently, the 2026 SNPMB has entered the student account registration phase for both SNBP and SNBT.
The results of the SNBP are scheduled to be announced on March 31, 2026. Registration for the SNBT will run from March 25 to April 7, 2026, with the exams taking place from April 21 to 30, 2026, and results scheduled for May 5, 2026.
