“We have received proposals from the local governments. We will focus on providing clean water facilities,” he said on the sidelines of a press conference in Jakarta on Wednesday, February 11.
He said the ministry is prioritizing the provision of clean water infrastructure as part of the recovery program, but did not provide further details.
Earlier, in early December 2025, the Ministry of Transmigration delivered eight truckloads of humanitarian assistance, including food and medicine, through the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB).
At the end of January 2026, the ministry also sent 17 aid packages comprising emergency tents, public kitchen equipment, and hygiene kits to communities in transmigration areas and former transmigration areas affected by natural disasters in Aceh Province.

Meanwhile, Home Affairs Minister Muhammad Tito Karnavian, who heads the Task Force for the Acceleration of Post-Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (PRR) in the Sumatra region, said the task force is currently prioritizing the relocation of evacuees to safer and more suitable housing.
Regarding temporary housing, he said the construction plan covers 17,036 units. As of now, 5,489 units, or about 32 percent, have been completed across three affected provinces.
Alongside the development of temporary shelters, the PRR task force is also overseeing the construction of permanent housing, with 15,719 units planned. Construction has shown steady progress, he said.
The task force is strengthening cross-sector coordination to keep the permanent housing program on schedule, targeting 3,657 units in West Sumatra, 3,462 units in North Sumatra, and 8,600 units in Aceh.
