Ambassador Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Amudi said the kingdom was established on firm principles and a “wise vision” that guide both domestic and foreign policy.
“That vision has strengthened Saudi Arabia’s position in international forums and across humanitarian and aid issues,” he said.
He said Riyadh continues to fulfill what he described as its humanitarian responsibilities in responding to major challenges in various countries and regions.
The envoy added that such commitments reflect the core values upheld by Saudi leaders since the country’s founding and embedded in state policy.
He also highlighted the kingdom’s longstanding focus on serving Islam’s two holiest sites and other sacred places, saying Saudi Arabia spares no effort in supporting Muslims worldwide.
The kingdom, he said, will continue backing Arab and Islamic nations, based on its belief in Islam’s central role for Muslims globally.
Indonesia’s Religious Affairs Minister Nasaruddin Umar congratulated Saudi Arabia on its Founding Day and expressed hope for stronger bilateral ties.
“We celebrate this event every year. Congratulations and continued success to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Our relations are already good, and we will make them even better,” he said.
Deputy Minister of Haj and Umrah Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak described Saudi Arabia as a strategic partner and stressed the importance of close cooperation.
“Saudi Arabia is our strategic partner. Maintaining relations with its government is essential,” he said.
The event was also attended by Indonesia’s Minister of Haj and Umrah Mochamad Irfan Yusuf, Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian, Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung, and representatives of foreign embassies in Jakarta.
