Since Monday (March 2), the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office has issued 244 ITKTs, while the Denpasar Immigration Office has issued 58.
"We urge all foreign nationals in our areas to immediately process the necessary administrative documents in person," the Head of Denpasar Immigration, R. Haryo Sakti, said on Friday.
Applicants must provide an original passport, a flight cancellation letter from the airline, and proof of the canceled tickets.
He explained that the permit is valid for 30 days and includes an extension option depending on further developments.
Besides the emergency permit, his office is waiving fines, meaning foreign nationals will not be charged for overstaying due to these flight cancellations.
Under normal regulations, foreign nationals who overstay their permits for less than 60 days are subject to a fine of Rp1 million (approx. $57) per day.
For now, Sakti informed that flights to the Middle East, specifically to Dubai, Doha, and Abu Dhabi, remain open, though they are operating on a limited basis.
