"The Integrated School Program targets 500 schools by 2026," he confirmed in a statement on Monday.
The program, under the supervision of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, is designed to provide more integrated education services through better coordinated system management.
"This program seeks to integrate education services for greater effectiveness, accelerate improvements in quality, and expand equitable access for the community," Qodari continued.
According to him, the Integrated School is a one-stop education model (from early childhood education (PAUD) to senior high school under one management and region, designed by the government to equalize the quality of education, especially for underprivileged students.
He mentioned that the concept focuses on physical integration, a continuous curriculum, and vocational facilities tailored to regional needs.
Currently, the government is drafting a legal basis in the form of a Presidential Instruction to serve as the foundation for the program.
Qodari said the regulation is intended to serve as a policy guiding implementation in line with national education development targets.
In terms of funding, the government has allocated approximately Rp60 trillion (US$3,4 billion) through the Additional Budget (ABT) scheme to support the implementation of the Integrated School program.
He emphasized that the program will be carried out in stages with a centralized policy approach, while adjusting to regulatory readiness and implementation on the ground.
"The government ensures that the policy direction remains consistent with the national target of strengthening education governance and creating a more integrated education system," he explained.
The government then expressed hope on this program to enable a more effective transformation of education governance, improve national education quality, and expand equitable access to quality education nationwide.
