“Congratulations to schools receiving revitalization assistance and digital interactive boards in 2025. We ask that all facilities be used properly to improve education quality,” he said during the inauguration of school revitalization across Banyumas District here on Saturday.
He said the program is part of the government’s priority to achieve quality education for all, while also supporting improved learning through the use of technology.
According to him, the government has allocated Rp14 trillion or around US$814 million for the 2026 school revitalization program, covering 11,744 schools nationwide.
In addition, the government has proposed additional funding to expand the program to 60 thousand schools.
To support digitalization, the government has planned to increase the number of Interactive Flat Panels (IFP) in 2026 to two to three units per school, up from previous allocations. IFPs are large 4K touchscreen displays functioning as digital whiteboards and all-in-one teaching tools for modern classrooms.
The government also plans to increase the number of beneficiaries of the Indonesia Smart Program (PIP) to around 19.6 million students from elementary to high school level, including for the first time around 888 thousand kindergarten students.
Incentives for teachers who receive honorariums will also be raised from Rp300 thousand to Rp400 thousand per month.
Mu’ti emphasized that these policies show the government’s commitment to strengthening education services.
“Education budget is not reduced. Instead, it is increased to support priority programs and students' character development,” he said.
Furthermore, he added that the school revitalization program in 2026 will focus on disaster-affected schools, schools in the frontier, disadvantaged, and outermost regions, and heavily damaged schools.
