He said these three aspects are essential to ensure that priority government programs go beyond administrative formalities and deliver real impact.
“Without them, all policies will remain merely programs and formalities marked only by quantitative achievements,” Wiyagus said in a statement here on Monday.
He delivered the remarks while reading a message from the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education during the National Education Day (Hardiknas) 2026 ceremony at Plaza Building A, the Home Ministry headquarters.
In the message, he explained that over the past 18 months, the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education has laid a strategic foundation titled “quality education for all” through five key policies.
These include revitalization and digitalization across more than 288,000 schools, improved qualifications and welfare for 150 thousand scholarship-recipient teachers in 2026, strengthened character education through the “Seven Habits of Great Indonesian Children” program and the ASRI (Safe, Healthy, Clean, and Beautiful) school environments.
The government has also rolled out quality assessment through Academic Ability Tests and literacy-numeracy movements, as well as expanded inclusive education services for children with special needs.
In line with this, Wiyagus called on all stakeholders to revive the spirit of national education as pioneered by national education hero Ki Hajar Dewantara.
He underscored that education is fundamentally a process of humanizing individuals, carried out with sincerity and compassion.
“Let's strengthen collaboration to realize quality education for all, toward an intelligent, advanced, and dignified Indonesia,” he said.
