Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) is developing the National Fraud Portal within the Indonesia Anti-Scam Center (IASC) as a platform to support faster and more coordinated handling of fraud cases.

Head of the Behavioural Supervision, Education and Consumer Protection Department of the Financial Services Authority (OJK), Dicky Kartikoyono, stated in a written statement here on Sunday that the portal will facilitate report collection, information exchange, and support the tracking of transactions indicated as fraud.

The main goal of the National Fraud Portal is to improve the effectiveness of fraud handling, accelerate the identification and follow-up process, and strengthen synergy among parties in protecting the public from losses caused by illegal financial activities.

Kartikoyono said that his side is currently coordinating with various stakeholders in the platform development.

“This process includes aligning governance aspects, operational readiness, and the required data integration so that the system can operate effectively,” he said.

He also emphasized that OJK, through the IASC, continues to strengthen synergy and collaboration with related industries, including the telecommunications industry, to optimize the handling of public complaints.

From the beginning of the year until April 29, 2026, OJK received 14,232 complaints related to illegal entities. Of the total, the majority were related to illegal online loans, amounting to 11,753 complaints, followed by 2,379 complaints related to illegal investments and 100 complaints related to illegal pawn services.

Meanwhile, the Illegal Financial Activities Eradication Task Force (Satgas PASTI) identified and shut down 951 illegal online lending entities and three illegal investment offers across multiple sites and applications that had the potential to harm the public.
