Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian government informed that the Debottlenecking Task Force has resolved 124 out of 170 corporate complaints, as part of efforts to accelerate the resolution of obstacles facing the business and investment sectors.

The task force was established to assist companies in overcoming various operational hurdles, thereby ensuring smoother and more productive business activities and supporting sustainable economic growth.

"To encourage companies to operate effectively, the government has established the Debottlenecking Task Force. There have been 170 complaints, and 124 of them have been resolved," Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto conveyed on Tuesday.

He said companies encountering various challenges can file complaints with the Debottlenecking Task Force, allowing the government to quickly address them through coordination among relevant ministries and agencies.

Hartarto also urged listed companies to maintain their performance, strengthen good corporate governance, and boost investor confidence through transparent and accountable business management.

"Listed companies need to strengthen several areas, including maintaining performance, upholding good governance, and maximizing the use of the capital market," he said.

According to the minister, the government views the capital market as a window into the national economy. Thus, strengthening the performance of listed companies and the investment climate will reflect Indonesia's economic resilience and growth prospects.

Previously, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa introduced the Task Force for Accelerating Government Strategic Programs (P2SP) to facilitate the resolution of business obstacles, or debottlenecking, for global investors.

The task force has been operating to address business hurdles for domestic companies since December 2023. In addition, global investors also receive information regarding the task force's existence.

Purbaya explained to investors that the P2SP Task Force can effectively address business challenges due to its formation consisting of stakeholders from various ministries and government agencies.

To raise awareness of the P2SP Task Force among global investors, Purbaya is working with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where he expects the collaboration to attract more international investors to Indonesia.

He said the partnership is important for promoting information regarding the task force through Indonesian embassies worldwide, helping prospective investors identify where to seek assistance if they encounter business obstacles in Indonesia.
