Mataram, NTB (ANTARA News) - Swedish Ambassador to Indonesia Ms. Ewa Ulrika Polano is scheduled to be in Lombok Timur district, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) province, for a two-day visit from Jan 9- 10, 2011.

NTB provincial administration spokesman H. Lalu Moh. Faozal said here on Saturday that Polano and her entourage would arrive at Selaparang airport on Sunday.

"From Selaparang airport, the Swedish envoy will make her way to Lombok Timur district hall to explain the purpose of her visit to Lombok island," Faozal said.

Faozal said that from Labuhan Haji Port, the Swedish envoy and her entourage would take a motor boat, provided by Lombok Timur district government, to visit Tanjung Riggit resort at the eastern tip of Lombok island.

At Tanjung Ringgit, Polano will join an expert team from her country for a discussion on tourism potential in Lombok island. The Swedish expert team will arrive at Tanjung Ringgit resort by MV Matahari cruise ship.

Surrounded by conserved forest of the Ministry of Forestry, Tanjung Ringgit is a cape located on the eastern coast line of Lombok Island.

The area, whose inhabitants are mostly farmers, has white sandy beaches and a long white rock cliff where the visitors can find old cave used by Japanese soldiers during World War II.(*)
