"Maybe he is expecting it. It is not proper for Sri Sultan as a leader to make such a statement. He should have calmed the situation down," he said here on Thursday.
Dipo said that the situation in Egypt should not be likened that in Indonesia. As a president, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) is governing based on the law.
"This is his second term. SBY has no intention to extend his term to become a president for life such as President Ben Ali in Tunisia or Mubarak in Egypt," he said.
He said that the Sultan`s remarks could fuel political condition in the country. "I see there are people who want a domino effect from the Egyptian case to happen here. I hope he has no intention to that effect," he said.
Dipo suspected that there was an agenda being set to have an end on the impeachment. In the past, former president Abdurrahman Wahid alias Gus Dur was impeached due to biased criticism that he was ignoring.
"I hope such a thing would be the last one to be experienced by Gus Dur," he said.(*)
