The minister hoped Nurhaida could continue the achievement that had been made by the institution in 2010 when the composite index of the Jakarta Stock Exchange was the best performer in Asia Pacific.
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Finance Minister Agus Martowardojo installed Nurhaida as the new chief of the Financial Institutions and Capital Market Supervisory Agency (Bapepam-LK) at his office here on Wednesday.

The minister on the same occasion also installed Herry Purnomo as the new director general of budget affairs.

On the occasion the minister hoped Nurhaida could continue the achievement that had been made by the institution in 2010 when the composite index of the Jakarta Stock Exchange was the best performer in Asia Pacific.

"I hope you can maintain the integrity of Bapepam and the financial institutions and continue the good performance reached in 2010," he said.

The minister also asked for making the capital market conditions to remain credible, independent and free of interventions to assure that investors would also get their rights according to the principles of good corporate governance.

"We also hope the capital market`s liquidity integrity level could be maintained through good teaming up with issuers," he said.

On Friday the finance minister installed 10 new echelon one officials including the new director general of taxation, Fuad Rahmani, who is the former Bapepam-LK chief, the director general of financial balance, Marwanto, the director general of treasury, Agus Suprijanto, inspector general Vincentius Sonny Loho, head of training and education, Kamil Sjoeib and expert staff for state revenues, Robert Pakpahan.

Other officials include expert staff for state expenditure Kiagus Ahmad Badarudin, expert staff for regulatory policy on capital market financial data, Nurhaida, acting head of fiscal policy Bambang Permadi Soemantri Brodjonegoro, acting staff for bureaucratic organization and information technology Rionald Silaban.(*)
