The source of the fire which broke out at 08.30 a.m. was believed to have originated from one of the houses made of wood.
The fire later spread quickly to nearby buildings while at the same time fire fighters with the help of local residents had difficulties reaching the scene because of narrow road.
The blaze could be put out more than one hour later.
No fatalities or injuries were reported in the fire which caused material losses worth hundreds of millions of rupiahs. (*)
